Оживљавање монструозног Другог: процес зомбификације и метафоре болести

Сажетак
Сусретом микробиолошке стварности и фантастичних светова популарне културе, долази до настанка наративног дискурса који отелотворује монструозност на један посве застрашујући начин – биолошки, односно пандемијски хорор. Унутар овог жанра, чудовишта оживљавају мистичну природу микроба, што је посебно наглашено путем наратива о зомбијима. Зомбија одређујем као реанимирани, дехуманизовани животни облик, заробљен унутар бинарности биолошких и социјалних категорија живота и смрти, здравља и болести, човека и чудовишта. Овакве чудовишне врсте изражавају страхове повезане са прогресивним болестима и крхким телима, те у својим истраживањима полазим са гледишта да су болест и њене последице један од саставних чинилаца реторике и имагинације немртвих чудовишта. Сходно томе, идеја овог истраживања јесте да истакне начине на које зомбији симболички изражавају учинак болести, изазивајући путем имагинације наше културно и биолошко разумевање медицински јасно поларизованих категорија болести и здравља.
